Award winning international recording artist Rob Maletick is known for his tone, and professionalism while being a team player in any format he is hired for. Rob's credits include the 2021 Best new Artist Award from the Indie Music Channel (iHeart Radio), 2022 WAMMIE Award nomination for Music Community Service, tours in Asia, and Europe including Iceland. 2020 also saw the release of a new single from Rob produced by the legendary Preston Glass (Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Earth Wind and Fire, Kenny G). That song, Beautiful Daze reached the top 10 in Europe and top 20 here in the US with over 150 radio and online outlets playing the track.
Rob grew up in Manassas Virginia (45 minutes outside Washington DC) and was exposed to a very diverse musical flavoring. Having parents that were music teachers didn't hurt either, as he was exposed to records at home from Earth Wind and Fire, Chuck Mangione, and the Boston Symphony at a very early age. Studying Jazz performance and Arts Management at Shenandoah Conservatory lead to performances with legends Billy Taylor, Randy Brecker, Bob Berg and Chris Vadala. Rob credits his studies with Saxophone Professor Joe Eckert as the foundation for his world renowned tone and skill set.
Being a professional musician since the age of 15, Rob has performed in front of millions of fans including a crowd of 80,000 (televised on CSPAN) with then Presidential Candidate Barrack Obama (PWC Fair Grounds Nov 2008), and a crowd of 60,000 at the Creation Fest (Pennsylvania 2012). Other highlights include performing at the White House, touring with the Earth Wind and Fire Tribute Band, opening shows for the legendary Neville Brothers, and Donnie McClurkin. You can see Rob performing with his own band and also supporting artists such as Christian de Mesones, Rob Zinn, Phaze II Jazz, Special Occasions Band, Vocalist Debora Galan and many others. Pre-Covid, Rob's schedule consistently had between 150-200 appearances each year including clinics and lectures.
